Testimonials

“As someone living with Low Vision, my mother rarely attends local functions anymore due to her lack of sight. Maite’s lecture and activities involved all the senses so anyone was able to participate and enjoy the workshop. My mom, who is legally blind, still felt secure and confident joining this community event. It is a rare opportunity when my mom looks forward to a public gathering knowing her limitations. It was immensely fulfilling to me to observe my mother’s excitement and involvement in ArtBites and to later witness her share the delight of the day with her friends and family. ”
— Bevany Praydell, library workshop participant
“Each time I go to one of your events I leave it exhilarated, inspired, and sated. You are really a wonderfully inspirational guide to all things artistic and culinary!”
— Judith Remmes
“Maite’s fusion of historical art and culinary art combines two of my favorite passions! No one could have executed this class better. Her knowledge in both arenas is impressive and interesting.”
— Eva Longoria Baston
“Thank you so much for being a leader in how to positively present on Zoom. You were one of the first presenters I watched at the beginning of the pandemic and your attitude was so inspiring to me. You really taught me how to be a better teacher during those Distance Learning months. ”
— Lockdown virtual class attendee
“I want to have another class with you. You are a good teacher. You are good at cooking. You have good ideas for art. I miss you.”
