The Beautyful Ones and Nigerian Cuisine

Join Maite at The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens as she weaves art and culinary in this Taste of Art.

Explore the third and final exhibition curated by Hilton Als featuring Nigerian-born, Los Angeles-based artist Njideka Akunyili Crosby. Have an intimate conversation about Crosby’s series “The Beautyful Ones” which focuses on intimate portraits of Nigerian children merging history, philosophy, and fantasy. After the gallery conversation explore the history of Nigerian cuisine and prepare West African inspired appetizers.
