All proceeds for this class will be donated to Project South and ASISTA, two agencies that are working with immigrant women who are victims of abuse.
For centuries women around the world have compiled recipes for the purpose of raising money for a cause. During this virtual cooking class we learn about the history of community cookbooks and follow the example of women before us to cook (and imbibe!) for a cause.
The menu is inspired by the La Cocina cookbook, We Are La Cocina: Recipes in Pursuit of the American Dream.
Menu:
Classic Margarita
Hibiscus Flower Quesadillas with Flour Tortillas from Scratch
In your confirmation email you will receive a link with recipes and equipment needed. The Zoom link will be sent three hours before the class starts.
