Thrilled to collaborate with the Lehigh University Art Galleries (LUAG) in a series of programs pairing cuisine and recipes from the local SouthSide Bethlehem community with works of art from LUAG’s permanent collection.
Join us with Veronica Moore and Pit Master Quartez of The Taste Smokers. Discover how the Great Migration of 1916-1970 changed Chicago’s culinary landscape and explore works by artists featured in the current exhibition Young, Gifted and Black, the first stand-alone public exhibition curated from the collection of the Lumpkin-Boccuzzi Family Collection of Contemporary Art.
Since 2018 The Taste Smokers has been operating as a food truck and establishing a strong following at local Lehigh Valley breweries, festivals, family reunions and other events. In the Summer of 2021 they opened a brick and mortar location which, more than a restaurant, serves as a vehicle and incubator for change and development.
A limited number of FREE kits will be available for pick-up at LUAG’s Main Galleries in Zoellner Arts Center or at the restaurant partner locations.
